Spring Break Has Made a Comeback

Spring Break Has Made a Comeback

Maddie Gill, Managing Editor

After a long couple of years spent locked away due to the pandemic, it comes as no surprise that everyone would spend every last dime on a vacation. Specifically, for college students, spring break this year was the perfect opportunity to get a group of friends together and jet off to the many hot spots like Florida or Mexico to spend their time.

I, on the other hand, worked long hours in my hometown – which is OK! I feel like there is a lot of pressure from film and TV to go on an extravagant trip for spring break. But, for some, the break is their only chance during the school year to make some extra money.

I’m not going to lie, I did experience FOMO to some degree. My social media feeds were (overly) saturated with photos and videos of people being carefree while I manned the register at my job on the closing shift. So, I wasn’t super excited to be at work at that moment. Nonetheless, however you choose to spend your spring break is acceptable as long as you feel like you have some time to relax. The unfortunate part is that it does have to come to an end. Now, it’s back to loads of assignments to finish up the semester. Good luck!
