Last Saturday, on April 23rd, the Uhart tradition of Spring Fling was revived! The event was hosted by the Hartford Events & Activities Team (HEAT) and called Spring Fest. It was a night of festivities that included food trucks, yard games, a bouncy castle, body painting, a glow arcade, and so much more. The fun started at 4 pm and ended at 1 am with a scavenger hunt and silent headphone disco party.
Due to COVID-19, Spring Fling was canceled for the 2020-2021 school year. Although this year’s Spring Fest was only a day filled with festivities compared to the usual three, students were still ecstatic about the yummy food and entertaining activities.
A senior and RA on campus, Chad Charette, who attended the Spring Fest, had the following remarks to say about the event. “It was nice with the food trucks and seeing a large group of people out and about again. The first 150 people got free food at the food trucks. There was Mexican, ice cream, churros, Chinese food, fried food, and Italian food.”
