Campus Revival

Campus+Revival

Following a long, exhausting few years with the COVID pandemic, it was easy to forget what life was like before 2020. As a freshman in 2019, I was happily bombarded with campus activities and programs, I was meeting new people, and enjoying a new sense of freedom. Except, once we were sent home due to the spreading virus, and the whole world basically shut down, a lot of people were stripped of a normal college experience. Time flew by and now I’m a senior! As tough as that is to wrap my head around, I have noticed a sense of normalcy so far this year.

With the masks slowly coming off and activities being brought back like the old days, it’s refreshing to see this year’s freshman enjoy everything UHart has to offer. The other day, Commons was bustling like never before and many are hanging out on the Village quads. Now with the guest policy being reevaluated, we have the opportunity to spend time with our friends from home or even have family visit whenever possible. These days it feels less like we’re just going through the motions, and more like the campus is being revived. Time to celebrate!
