Hartford Men’s Soccer comes back home to Al Marzook stadium for their 2022 home opener against Sacred Heart tonight. The Hawks are coming off a three-game road trip falling to Quinnipiac last Saturday in their last game 3-0. In that game, junior goalkeeper, Rotem Fadida, tallied nine saves in the loss. Fadida currently leads all of Division 1 with 8.33 saves per game and sitting in second overall in the nation with 24 total saves in just three games. Hartford is currently 0-3 on the season and looks to get in the win column later this evening.

Sacred Heart comes into this game 1-2 on the season, coming away with a 2-0 victory against Holy Cross last Saturday. Javier Lopez Cayuela leads the Pioneers with three points. Sacred Heart goalkeeper Justin Siegel has a .545 save percentage and an average of 1.70 goals against.

Tonight’s game is the twelfth time that the two have faced off against each other. Hartford holds the edge against the Pioneers with a record of 7-2-2. Last season, the two teams tied with one goal a side down in Fairfield. Following the quick homestand, the Hawks hit the road for an away match on Sunday against Siena in Loudonville, New York.
