On Monday, the Hartford Hawks Men’s Golf Team began hosting the annual Hartford Hawks Invitational at Bulls Bridge Golf Club in South Kent, Connecticut. The two-day event will continue the Hawk’s fall season as they look to improve after tying for sixth place at the Ryan T. Lee Memorial last weekend.

This year’s invitational will include UConn, UCF, Longwood, Towson, Sacred Heart, Rider, Fordham, LIU, FDU, Fairfield, Bryant, LaSalle, Mount St. Mary’s, Manhattan, and Merrimack. Conor Byrne will look to improve his strong season after he placed fourth overall in the Ryan T. Memorial. Byrne was announced as the Big Sky Golfer of the Week for his performance as he carded a 6-under par 136 in the two-day affair. The last time the Hawks teed off at Bulls Bridge, they placed eighth in a field of 18 teams. However, last year’s Invitational was headlined by Ryan Tomaso and Bryce Zimmerman, as they finished as the top performers for the Hawks. Tomaso posted 9-over 225 across 54 holes as Zimmerman posted a 13-over 229.
