UHart’s eighth annual Day of Giving Fair is off and running! The event will occur on Wednesday, March 29 from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in the GSU Hawk Lounge. Sean Svalestad, president of the Student Philanthropy Ambassador, says, “This is our time to pay it forward to the students who will follow in our footsteps, the way alumni have done for us.” Alumni, faculty, staff, and friends are giving back so you and I can have an amazing experience—let’s show them we care, too!

Students are also encouraged to attend the S’more Celebration at the Poe Park Firepit from 7-9 p.m., across from the Commons. At both events, there will be snacks and custom-made stickers for as little as $2. H.A.S. and CETA student Joanna Abare designed this year’s exclusive Day of Giving stickers! Other upcoming student events include Hartford Events & Activities (HEAT)’s annual spring festival on April 22. They announced the theme of this year’s Spring Fest: decades! Join HEAT from 3 PM to 1 AM for a retro rewind to the 60s, discoing to the 70s, shining bright neon in the 80s, bringing Y2K back for the 2000s, and so much more. HEAT will be announcing all the events, activities, and food trucks soon! Make sure to stay tuned to their social media accounts: @heatuhart.
