With the school year coming to an end at the University of Hartford, students and staff within departments all over campus will be receiving recognition for their years-long dedication to their studies and passions.

This Friday, starting at 1:00 p.m., the English department will be hosting an award ceremony for students who submitted their work to the yearly writing contest! Students with a winning spot during the award ceremony will receive cash prizes and be given the chance to speak openly about their work. Professor of English and Creative Writing, Dr. Erin Striff, will also be there to announce the official launch of this year’s version of “Aerie,” our school’s literary magazine, composed of various pieces of writing and art students have created throughout their time at UHART.

This event will be taking place in Hillyer Room 125 (Auerbach Auditorium). All students and staff are welcome, and snacks will be provided throughout the event.
