The Informer Faculty and Staff welcomes all Hawks back to another year at the University of Hartford! To kick off our school year we have an amazing series of events going on in the following week.
A series of religious observations are occurring at the start of our third school week! The University’s Office of Jewish Life will be hosting a Persian Seder event this Wednesday, September 1st from 6:30 P.M. – 8:00 P.M.
The event will be the Campus’s annual Persian Rosh Hashanah Seder! The night will be guaranteed to provide all students with the opportunity to meet new friends, learn new traditions of the Persian and Jewish cultures, along with trying some amazing Kosher food.
The event will take place at the Hillel Campus Center, Office of Jewish Life in room UC 116/118. For further inquiry, please reach out to Colin Nichols at his designated email: [email protected]. We hope to see you there, all faculty, staff, and students are welcome.
Rosh Hashanah events will continue forward in the middle of the week on Friday, September 15th, from 5:30 P.M. to 7:00 P.M.
Services will be hosted by Rabbi Rachel Putterman, director of Trinity College Hillel. All services will be using a Non-Denominational prayer book in a reforming conservative style. All are welcome to join the Holiday services.
Services will be held in Wilde Auditorium and encourage all faculty, staff, and students at the University to participate!
For further inquiries on these service hours, please reach out to Lisa Langsner at her designated email [email protected], we hope to see you there!
