This week’s female athlete of the week’s honors is awarded to the University of Hartford’s women’s soccer team player Ashley Claud.

The senior clutched this weekly award by helping the women’s soccer team enter the America East Championship by being involved in the first two goals scored against Binghamton this past week.

She also scored the game-winning goal this past week against UAlbany. This Lindenhurst, NY native is currently third on the women’s team for game winning goals with two, shots with 28, goals with seven, and points overall with 15.

Her amazing overall points and goals also ranks her seventh in the America East. There is no sign of this competitor slowing down as the women’s soccer continues their tremendous season.
