This week’s male athlete of the week award is given to the University of Hartford’s men’s golfer Elias Gross. This California native was able to lock down the award this week because of his fist-place award at the UCONN Invitational this past week.

This marks the first time in this junior’s career that he has been awarded first place at an invitational. This win gave him the title of the Big Sky Golfer of the Week.

Gross was able to gain first place at this invitational after shooting a 75 on the 72-par course in the first round, a 73 in the second round, and a 70 on the final round. This last round allowed him to jump from fifth to first place. This Hawk sure shows no sign of slowing down.
