July 1st marks a significant milestone for the University of Hartford as we proudly welcome Lawrence P. Ward as our seventh president. With an impressive background in higher education leadership, Ward joins us from Babson College in Wellesley, Massachusetts, where he served as Vice President for Learner Success and Dean of Campus Life. During his tenure, he spearheaded strategic initiatives that ensured the success of both undergraduate and graduate students, showcasing his commitment to academic excellence and student welfare.
Expressing his enthusiasm for his new role, President Ward shared, “I am honored and absolutely delighted to have been selected by the Board of Regents as the next president of the University of Hartford. From my first interactions with the search committee and throughout the selection process, I felt a very strong connection and enthusiasm for the university and this extraordinary academic community. I am energized by our strategic opportunities for growth and confident in our ability to navigate the challenging landscape of higher education while maintaining a relentless commitment to student success.”
As we extend a warm welcome to President Ward, we eagerly anticipate his leadership and the positive impact he will have on our institution. The Informer is committed to covering his achievements and contributions as we embark on this new chapter together.
